First quick prototype
The initial idea of Smart Hanger was for people who are having a difficult time deciding what to wear and organizing clothes in their house. After receiving feedback from other people on the first prototype, I decided to design a Smart Hanger that can also be used for retail stores.

I researched retail stores and interviewed sales associates about using hangers in stores. Most store employees didn't have difficulty using hangers or organizing clothes, so I decided to design the Smart Hanger with the customer in mind. Since the hangers would be used by more than one customer in a public setting, I had to design the function differently than one that would be used by a single person in a home. The Smart Hanger for individual home use would be activated through a direct and personalized voice command. On the other hand, the hanger used in stores would identify the user's interests through an app which collects personal data from social media accounts.
